In this article, we look at three things every new vaper should know.
Get to Know Different Types of Vaping Devices
Understanding the different types of vaping devices on the market and how they work is probably one of the most helpful things to do as a new vaper. Shopping for vaping devices can be overwhelming if you have no prior knowledge or understanding of e-cigarettes. However, any good e-cig retailer should be happy to answer any questions you may have.
It is worthwhile noting that each type of vaping device is designed to offer a slightly different experience. So, if you find you aren’t satisfied with the first device you try, speak to your e-cig retailer about your concerns.
Beginners usually start off with a pod vape or vape pen. These devices are simple to operate and aren’t much bigger than a tobacco cigarette. As you learn more about vaping and want to begin customising your experience further, you may want to move on to a more advanced vaping device such as a box mod or even a squonk mod.
Look After Your E-Liquids
Just like you wouldn’t want a tobacco cigarette to get crumpled, wet or broken you also need to know how to look after e liquids so that they work properly and you get the most out of them. The three things that will alter the taste and colour of your e-liquid are heat, light and air. Try to store your e-liquid in a cool, dark place and make sure to screw the cap on tightly between uses. Don’t store your e-liquid in the fridge though, as this can cause the separation of PG (propylene glycol) and VG (vegetable glycerine).
Try Different Flavours
Make sure to sample different flavours before deciding on some you love and once you do, try not to go for the same flavour over and over again. Those who do vape the same flavour too much can experience an unpleasant case of ‘vapers tongue’. Vapers tongue causes vapers to experience their usual flavour differently. Some describe it as though it feels as though their tongue has a coating on it. Others feel as though their usual go-to flavour has no taste or rather an unpleasant taste all of a sudden. As well as switching up vape flavours from time to time, vapers tongue can also be prevented by stopping smoking (which damages taste buds), staying well hydrated and maintaining good oral hygiene.
