Hello welcome to Zero Forum, my name is Daragh and I am the founder of this technology blog.
As you can probably tell by my name (which is pronounced Di-ra), I am from Ireland in the United Kingdom.
I am a proud Irish man who has lived in Belfast for all of my 37 years. Some find it crazy that I have never moved away but there is something about Belfast that I could just never part with. I moved out of my parent’s house when I met my now wife and we live just 5 miles from where I was raised.
I’m an Irish man through and through but something else that I love so much is technology. From a young age, I was always interested in technology and the future of it all but it was only when I studied at 6th form did I realise that it could be my future.
I handed out CV’s at all of the local technology companies and found myself with a job at the age of 16 as an apprentice for a software development firm. Things have come a long way since then and it has been a thrilling ride.
I still work in technology however now as a programmer for a small app-developer, working with some of the greatest companies in the world. No two days are the same in my world and that just makes it really exciting.
The blog Zero Forum was launched when I wanted to bring my work and passion home and just when blogs were becoming really popular.
Zero Forum is a unique and savvy blog with brings together technology buffs from all over the world who want to discuss, share and bond with others over shared interests.
From new technology to getting nostalgic about old technology and discussing what the future holds, you can find everything here on Zero Forum.
We discuss a lot more than technology and I’m keen to help people realise that technology isn’t all about being labelled ‘geeks’ and ‘nerds’. It’s a whole world of great potential that we’re only just scratching the surface of.
There is plenty to be learnt here on Zero Forum so if you have anything that you’d like to add to our discussion or would like to contribute your own blog post then please do not hesitate to get in touch.
Zero Forum has become a great place for friends to meet, chat and get to know each other a little better and we’d love to welcome you to our community.
